01. Overview

VOJO Silk, a local small business specializing in silk products, was looking towards elevating their online presence through a comprehensive website redesign. I was tasked with designing the homepage, product page, listing page, collections page, and checkout experience — focusing on user-friendly navigation and an elegant presentation that reflects the brand’s mission and sense. By tailoring the shopping journey to highlight the benefits of silk for hair care while showcasing the scrunchies’ stylish versatility, I helped create a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers.

02. Problem

Before the redesign, VOJO Silk's website faced significant challenges with user experience and navigation, as the template designs did not align with the aesthetic of the products or the company's image. Customers struggled to locate products due to inconsistent organization, which led to high bounce rates and low conversion rates. Additionally, the website's navigation and product filtering were cluttered and unintuitive, making it difficult for users to browse and find their desired silk scrunchies with ease.

03. Design Process

The design process for VOJO Silk began with a deep dive into understanding the brand's identity, goals, and the emotions it wanted to capture. I focused on turning VOJO Silk's elegance, care, and luxury into a digital experience that can better connect with its audience.

To start, I analyzed the brand’s goals and existing website to identify pain points. The primary challenge was to align the website design with VOJO Silk’s aesthetic while enhancing navigation and product organization to ensure a seamless user experience.

I created wireframes to map a user-friendly experience and gathered feedback to refine them into high-fidelity designs. Special focus was placed on mobile usability, ensuring responsive layouts, easy navigation, and smooth browsing for shoppers on any devices.

To accurately reflect VOJO Silk's mission, I implemented features such as an interactive quiz to personalize the shopping experience and highlighted blogs to provide detailed, engaging content for customers. As the project lead, I oversaw the implementation process, ensuring the designs were executed accurately and met all functional requirements.

04. Results

With the redesign of VOJO Silk's website, I aimed to address the challenges customers faced in navigating the site and finding products quickly and effortlessly.
